December, 2014 Holiday Meeting

At our Holiday Meeting, Richard Cartwright spoke on 101 Places a Hazardous Materials Manager Must Visit Before They Die. This is also the title of one of the books he is writing. Mr. Cartwright’s presentation, while quite comical at points, brought up the very serious issues of social consciousness, the need for people to become involved in their community, and that while we make advances in environmental stewardship we can’t forget the past or we will repeat our mistakes.

In other business Alain Fortier received the Thomas Dalton Scholarship from former President Joe Galley who passed the responsibilities to current President Philip Apruzzese at the Holiday meeting / party.

New Leaders were sworn in to their new posts for 2015 at the Holiday Meeting / Party

Members enjoy the hot antipasto before the main holiday dinner

But some people just can't leave work behind, here Brian is studying for the CHMM test with his Hazardous Materials Management Desk Reference at the party

And finally, while we all ate well, we also did some real good, collecting quite a haul for the local food bank so that others could share the bounty.
