On Sunday April 28th, 2019 AHMP-NJ will be holding one of our CHMMunity service events.
We welcome all interested members, family members, associates and others to assist in the maintenance of the Parker Trail in Highpoint State Park. We will meet on Deckertown Road at 9 am for the two mile Parker Trail maintenance. We anticipate clearing some overgrowth on the trail, so bring loppers, pruning shears, and a bow saw if you have them. Ron Kurtz and Frank Asaro will bring trail markers and additional tools for those that don't have their own. To clear this trail normally takes about three hours with a group of five people. If there are more volunteers or we finish early, we can clear the entrance to the adjoining trail.
Attendees will want to bring at least two (2) bottles of water and wear comfortable work clothing (long pants & shirt, hiking boots, work gloves, hat, etc.). Ron and Frank will have a first aid kit, bear repellent, bug spray, etc.
Afterwards, all that would like can support a local establishment by joining us for lunch and libations.
